According to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), over 500,000 businesses in the US will need to comply with this new law and the most common industries that will be impacted include manufacturing, marketing, mortgage lending, auto dealers, outdoor retailers, and restaurants.

Mary Westberg is Senior Privacy Manager at Western Digital Corporation, where she brings over 10 years of data privacy expertise.  At Western Digital, she manages all operational aspects of the privacy program and data privacy training across Western Digital’s global locations.

Mary previously served as Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley KnowledgeNet of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and then served as KnowledgeNet Advisor for the West Coast region of the IAPP.   She holds Certified Informational Privacy Professional, USA (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certifications.
